Access Florida

"Access Florida" is a program provided by the State of Florida, Department of Children and Families. Shady Hills United Methodist Church is an official site for this program, registered with the state.

Briefly, Access is a single office that can help anyone apply for various types of services available through Florida's Department of Children and Family Services. Some types of assistance that are available include:

To request assistance, we ask that you call the Access office at (727) 597 - 1728 to make an appointment. You may also stop by the office on Wednesday or Saturday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Appointments are necessary to protect your privacy. At your scheduled appointment, the counselor will discuss your situation and help you to locate the proper form of aid that you need.

The Access Florida office at Shady Hills United Methodist church is also the local distribution point for "Metro Market", a food support program associated with Metropolitan Ministries.
