Scouting Programs
Shady Hills United Methodist Church is proud to sponsor two units of the Boy Scouts of America:
- Cub Scout Pack 91
- Boy Scout Troop 91
Cub Scouts
The Cub Scout program is available to boys who have either completed kindergarten or are between the ages of six (6) through eleven (11). That is, elementary school age boys. Program activities include family camp outs and projects that are age- and development- appropriate for boys six to eleven years old. The Cub Scout unit at the church is "Cub Scout Pack 91". They meet in the Ash Building on Tuesday nights from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM.
Boy Scouts
The Boy Scout program, "Troop 91" is available to boys ages eleven (11) years old through eighteen (18) years old, or school grades six (6) through twelve (12). Alternatively, Cub Scouts who have earned their "Arrow of Light" award and are at least eleven (11) years old are also eligible for this program. Scout Troop 91 meets in the Ash Building on Thursday nights from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Troop 91 camps once per month and has other activities.
